Auto insurance

Bodily Injury Liability: This pays for the medical and other expenses of people (not in you car) injured in an accident you cause.  

Property Damage Liability: This covers the damage you cause to property (not in you car), usually the other car or cars involved in the accident bus also any objects you hit.  

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist: This pays for injuries to you, your passengers, and in some cases your property (Car and things in your car) if you are hit by a driver who does not have insurance or enough insurance.

Personal Injury Protection: This coverage pays medical, and even funeral expenses for you and your passengers if you are involved in a collision, regardless of who caused the accident.  It also covers you as a pedestrian if you are hit by a vehicle. 

Collision: This covers damage to your vehicle that results when you collide with another vehicle or object. 

Comprehensive: This covers damage to your vehicle that results from something other than a collision
